Fun for all ages! Come and enjoy continuous family entertainment and historical reenactment of early American life in a rural, small town Indiana atmosphere of friendly folks. Non-stop performances on stage daily are included in admission. Including CLOGGING, DULCIMER, BANJO & FIDDLE PLAYING, FOLK SINGING and other stage attractions of the pre-1870's. More entertainment at the Matchbox Puppet Theater. You are invited to participate too, wearing clothing typical of early America ranging in time from pre-history to 1870.
Barter or buy from the blanket traders in the rendezvous reenactment camp.
Watch the Stone's Trace Regulators demonstrate "black powder" muzzleloader shooting skills, primitive archery, and the Mountain Man Aggregate (a primitive skills rendezvous event including expertise with black powder and flintlock shooting skills, flint and steel fire starting, and tomahawk and knife throwing competition).
Wander through the Civil War encampments. Learn how the soldiers lived. Check out the Military Field Hospital.
Watch as the soldiers load and fire the cannon.
Visit the Village Blacksmith Shop to witness the tools and techniques of forging iron.
Young guests have the opportunity to participate in youth-oriented, pioneer games and learning activities, including face painting.
Watch the "Punch & Judy" Puppet Show.
Stop and talk to Johnny Appleseed who will be strolling through the festival area telling stories and passing out "purty stones".
Interact with West Noble High School's Theater 33 drama group representing the Stone family living in Stone's Trace Tavern.
Listen to Mark Gropp play the bagpipes and march with him to the flag raising and lowering at the opening and close of each day.
Shop at the pioneer craft booths. Wares on sale are hand-made and are of the pre-1870 era.
There are plenty of food and drink vendors. There is some bench seating available in front of the open air stage, but, if you have them, it's a good idea to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on while enjoying the continuous entertainment. FREE parking is at West Noble Schools across Highway 33 with FREE shuttle bus transportation to and from the festival.
