On Saturday, October 24 from 2 to 5 pm, enjoy specialty oak-aged brews and fine food! This 21 & older outdoor event features brew and cider selections from around the Region & Beyond. Appetizer-style food pairings provided by Chef David Wodrich from Third Coast Spice Caf in Chesterton, Indiana.
This brew event is for the adventure seeker. These brews have an intense flavor and kick that will keep you warm on a cool fall day.
Guests will learn about the oak species and the many uses man has created for this hearty wood, including utilizing oak barrels in the alcohol fermentation process. Our servers are knowledgeable about how the specific brews they serve are brewed, identifying their unique flavors and what foods pair well with them.
Guests will be given the chance to rank their tastings. The five most popular brew and food pairings will be featured at OAKtoberfest 2016 as supplies allow. Guests will also be entered to win an annual Taltree membership, a $100 value.
